SEO reseller: sell technical SEO without hiring

An SEO reseller sells SEO services to clients and uses an outside partner to deliver the agreed work. For technical SEO, your agency can own the strategy, pricing and client relationship while a web or WordPress partner implements approved fixes. This guide covers the business setup: models, margins, partner checks and the documents you need before selling.

SEO reseller models: who owns the relationship?

Choose the relationship before choosing a supplier. An SEO reseller company can act as a referral source, a prime contractor with a hidden delivery partner, or a visible collaborator. The model determines who invoices, who answers difficult questions and who must approve a change.

  • Referral

    Introduce a qualified prospect and let the provider contract directly. Agree any referral payment separately; never assume an introduction creates an entitlement to commission.

  • White-label fulfillment

    Your agency contracts with the client and buys implementation from a partner. You set the retail price, review the work and send updates under your brand.

  • Co-branded delivery

    Introduce the specialist and explain the split in responsibilities. Agree who chairs meetings, signs off changes and handles billing before the first joint call.

White label SEO reseller services we can fulfill

Fer Marketing delivers technical SEO tasks through white-label web development and WordPress work, from $250 with a fixed written quote before work. Send the affected pages, evidence, desired behavior and constraints. The quote defines what we will implement and test.

Our white-label SEO page explains the technical fulfillment service. Use this reseller guide to decide how your agency will package and manage it, and the white-label WordPress guide to review the implementation workflow. Staging can sit on your agency domain; NDA and non-solicitation are available.

SEO reseller plans: package a defined workload

Build SEO reseller packages around a repeatable deliverable and a clear buying trigger. Calling something an SEO reseller program does not tell you whether it includes analysis, implementation, reporting or recurring support. Ask for those boundaries before presenting a client proposal.

Packaging options your agency can define, not published Fer plans
OfferBuying triggerScope boundary
Fix projectApproved issue listNamed tasks and URLs
Migration supportPlanned site changeMapping, tests, release
Reserved capacityRecurring technical backlogCapacity and queue rules
Care plus fixesSite needs ongoing upkeepSeparate care and change scope

Write this beside every package name

  • Define the unit of work.Specify a URL list, template, approved ticket or agreed capacity. Avoid unlimited language when delivery depends on complexity and access.
  • Separate discovery from implementation.An unclear diagnosis can require investigation before a reliable repair quote. Say who prioritizes findings and whether implementing recommendations is included.
  • State rollover, exclusions and cancellation.For recurring arrangements, agree whether unused capacity expires, how urgent work enters the queue and how either party ends the engagement.

Use the white-label WordPress pricing worksheet when preparing a quote, and the maintenance checklist to define care tasks separately. A starting price is not an all-inclusive SEO subscription.

Calculate your SEO reseller margin before quoting

Set the supplier cost only after receiving a written scope. Then include your own review, account management and collection costs. The worksheet uses placeholders rather than invented market rates or a promised margin.

Copy into a spreadsheet, use one currency and period
R = client revenue, excluding sales tax collected for remittance
V = supplier's fixed quote for the same scope
H = your delivery, QA and client management hours
W = your internal cost per hour
T = allocated tools, licenses and other direct costs
B = explicit contingency allowance
F = fixed payment or collection fees
q = variable payment fee as a decimal
C = V + (H × W) + T + B + F
Contribution = R × (1 - q) - C
Contribution margin = Contribution / R, for R > 0
Supplier markup = (R - V) / V, for V > 0
Break-even revenue = C / (1 - q), for q < 1
Revenue for target margin m = C / (1 - q - m)
Use the target formula only when 1 - q - m > 0.

Enter q and m as decimals, and format the margin cell as a percentage. Supplier markup ignores your internal costs, so it can look healthy while contribution is weak. This contribution calculation is not net profit: company overhead and income taxes still need their own budget.

Stress-test the proposal with your own inputs

  • Recalculate with extra review hours.Replace H with the hours you would need if staging access arrives late, a plugin conflicts or the client requests another review. Do not assume contingency makes an unlimited scope safe.
  • Check cash timing separately.Record when the supplier is paid, when the client pays and who funds any gap. A profitable quote can still require working capital.
  • Reprice changed scope.If the URL list, template count or acceptance criteria change, obtain the partner's revised quote before approving a client change request.

Choose an SEO reseller partner you can inspect

The best SEO reseller for your agency is the one whose delivery you can evaluate and whose boundaries fit your offer. Ask candidates to walk through a sample ticket and a redacted handoff. A dashboard demonstration alone does not show who actually changes the site.

Partner vetting checklist

  • Identify the implementation owner.Ask who diagnoses, edits, reviews and deploys, and whether subcontractors receive access. Confirm the stacks they can support and how they handle unfamiliar plugins.
  • Inspect evidence and recovery.Request a sample change log, acceptance test and rollback plan. A private staging review is more useful than an unexplained score improvement.
  • Check brand and relationship boundaries.Agree client contact permissions, branded staging, NDA, non-solicitation and ownership of delivered work. Confirm account and license access at termination.
  • Run a bounded pilot.Choose an approved, reversible ticket and evaluate clarity, QA and communication. Expand only after your reviewer can reproduce the stated result.

Red flags in SEO reseller programs

Google's SEO hiring guidance warns against guaranteed rankings and secretive providers. Treat a first-place promise or refusal to explain site changes as a reason to stop vetting that candidate.

Launch your SEO reseller program with a pilot

Use this sequence before adding technical SEO to your sales menu. These are recommended onboarding steps for your agency, not a promise of a standard delivery duration. Agree dates after the partner has reviewed the site and dependencies.

  1. Step 1

    Confirm the client objective and authority

    Record the business priority, site owner, agency contact and person allowed to approve publication. Confirm authorization to use a delivery partner and record any confidentiality restrictions.

  2. Step 2

    Document a baseline and bounded issue

    Save affected URLs, reproduction steps, screenshots, relevant settings and dated test results. Distinguish observed behavior from a suspected cause, and define the result that would close the ticket.

  3. Step 3

    Get the partner quote and price your offer

    Send the brief, hosting details and known constraints. Obtain a fixed written quote, dependencies and proposed schedule, then use the margin worksheet before sending your client proposal.

  4. Step 4

    Agree access, staging and responsibilities

    Use individual accounts with only the permissions needed and a secure credential channel. Prepare protected staging on the agreed domain, a current backup and a rollback owner; keep client data exposure limited.

  5. Step 5

    Approve scope and start the pilot

    Confirm inclusions, exclusions, evidence, review rounds and release authority in writing. Route all change requests through the agency contact so a client message cannot silently expand the supplier brief.

  6. Step 6

    Review and authorize deployment

    Compare the staging result with the acceptance criteria and test key visitor journeys. Resolve failures before approval, then arrange publication and a fresh live backup without overwriting new orders or submissions.

  7. Step 7

    Verify live and hand back the record

    Repeat the agreed tests in production and record what changed, what remains open and who acts next. Remove temporary access when appropriate, then decide whether another project or separately scoped care is justified.

Write the scope and service agreement first

Use a scope document for deliverables and an SLA, or service level agreement, for communication and escalation. A response target acknowledges a request; a resolution target concerns restoring or completing something. Do not sell one as the other.

Scope and SLA worksheet, negotiate every placeholder
Parties / site / agency owner: {{parties}} / {{site}} / {{owner}}
Objective and baseline evidence: {{objective}} / {{evidence}}
Included URLs, templates and tickets: {{included_list}}

Change request approval and revised quote: {{change_process}}
Branding, NDA, client contact and non-solicitation: {{terms}}
Ownership, licenses, exit handoff and access removal: {{exit_terms}}

For a blocked ticket, record the missing input, its owner and the date the schedule will be reassessed. For an incident, separate restoration from root-cause repair and name who can authorize emergency action. Have qualified counsel review contractual terms where appropriate.

When reselling technical SEO makes sense

Track delivery quality and business outcomes in separate parts of the report. Record the affected pages, release date and later changes by other vendors so the client can interpret observations. Do not attribute every traffic change to your latest ticket.

A practical fit

  • You already advise the client and need approved technical work implemented.
  • Your agency can review evidence, manage scope and fund the delivery cycle.
  • You need web or WordPress capacity under your own brand.

Do not buy this from us when

  • You need a turnkey content, link building or paid advertising operation.
  • You need guaranteed rankings or guaranteed lead volume.
  • You cannot obtain site access, an authorized approver or a defined technical brief.

Fer Marketing is operated by Fer LLC in Wyoming, founded by Fernando Marcano, an IT engineer with 20+ years of hands-on experience. We serve the US market in English and Spanish. Payment is by card through Stripe after the scope is agreed; review published pricing and send a bounded brief through contact.

Frequently asked questions

What is an SEO reseller?

An SEO reseller sells SEO services while an outside partner delivers some or all of the work. In a white-label arrangement, the agency usually owns the client contract, pricing and communication, and reviews the partner's delivery.

How does a white label SEO reseller program work?

Your agency defines the offer, obtains a supplier scope and quote, and contracts with the client under its own brand. The partner implements the approved tasks, and your agency checks the evidence, approves release and manages client updates.

What is included in Fer Marketing's SEO reseller services?

We implement technical SEO tasks within white-label web and WordPress work: fixes, speed work, structured data, metadata, redirects and indexing problems. Work starts from $250 with a fixed written quote; the agreed scope determines the deliverables.

Do you sell monthly SEO reseller plans or packages?

We quote technical web and WordPress work against a defined scope. Bring a project or recurring workload for review; do not assume the starting price buys an all-inclusive monthly SEO program. We do not sell content subscriptions, link building packages or paid ads management.

How much margin should an SEO reseller charge?

There is no universal margin that fits every agency. Include the supplier quote, internal hours, review, tools, payment fees and contingency, then calculate contribution at your proposed client price. Keep overhead and cash timing visible before deciding whether the work is worthwhile.

How do I choose the best SEO reseller company?

Compare the same bounded brief across candidates. Inspect a sample handoff, ask who implements and reviews changes, confirm access and exit arrangements, and run a pilot. Reject unexplained tactics or ranking guarantees, and choose the partner your agency can evaluate.

Can I resell technical SEO without hiring an SEO team?

Yes, if your agency can define the client objective, coordinate access, review the work and communicate limitations. Outsourcing implementation still needs an accountable reviewer. Source strategy or other capabilities separately when they exceed your team's expertise.

Can the delivery stay under my agency brand?

Yes. Fer Marketing offers white-label web and WordPress delivery with staging on your agency domain, and NDA and non-solicitation available. Agree client contact permissions and branding in writing before work starts.

Send your technical brief through contact, WhatsApp or fer@fer.marketing for a same-business-day reply, 9 AM to 9 PM ET. White-label web and WordPress work starts from $250, with a fixed written quote before work and NDA and non-solicitation available.
